Services

Camping Pitches

We have five hard-standing  pitches (10mx6m) that offer a comfortable and scenic setting for your caravan or camper, each with convenient water supply and electric hook up. There is also one grass pitch for a tent with water and electric hook up.

Pitch Booking

Please note we don't have any showers or toilets.

Local Walks 

Experience the local footpaths  from our site on the edge of Eryri/Snowdonia, these old paths provided access to the local slate quarry which is now recognised as a world heritage site. Or plan a walk to the wonderful Moel y Ci Cafe on ancient paths through beautiful farmland.

Mountain Adventure

Carfan is a great base camp for walking in  Snowdonia or if your as keen on cycling as we are there are tonnes of great road, gravel and mountain biking routes nearby, feel free to ask me or check out  sustrans and trailforks for more info.

North Wales is possibly the best rock climbing destination in the UK and we are well placed for driving to Ogwen, Llanberis Pass, Tremadog, Gogarth and the Great Orme click on the link below if you need a guide/instructor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What activities are available near the campsite?

There are great walks from the campsite onto our local hill Moel Y Ci. Paddleboarding and open water swimming are possible in Llyn Padarn which is only a 5-minute drive or 20-minute bike ride plus loads of great road cycling, gravel biking and mountain biking nearby.

Are pets allowed at the campsite?

Yes, we welcome well-behaved pets, please keep dogs on leads as we are surrounded by farmland with sheep and cows, we also have horses chickens and ducks at Ysgubor Carfan.

Is there a grocery store nearby for supplies?

There are local grocery stores in Bangor, Bethesda, and Llanberis within a short driving distance from the campsite, and the nearby Beran filling station is well stocked for the lastminute shop.

We were greeted with a warm welcome from Paul. When he asked what we would like to do whist staying here, he had amazing local knowledge. We did walks and biking from the site and also many more just a short car ride away. It's very well positioned to adventure around this corner of Wales. We booked for one week and ended up staying for two, could have stayed longer as there is so much to do. The site is in a wonderful position with views across the mountains and valleys and quiet and tranquil.
